To confront Taiwan’s challenges of climate change, and address requirements related to flood prevention, water resources and water environments overall, Taiwan’s government allocated a special eight-year budget of NT$250.8 billion (€7.6 billion) to construct water-related infrastructure, as part of the more comprehensive forward-looking Infrastructure Development Program. As of July 2020, Taiwan and the Netherlands established a bi-lateral working group to work on potential cooperation. RVO has also contracted a consultancy to conduct a water sector study for Taiwan, during this webinar, the outcome of market study will be presented with business opportunities in Taiwan. In particular, an international tender of environmental construction of Beigang River with Huwei Sugar Refinery in Taiwan from water resource agency, ministry of economic affairs will be shared.
